Gua Sha Flat Rod — Natural Horn, 3.5"

The flat rod occupies a distinct niche between the broad-surface gua sha board and the pointed gua sha rod — and for certain applications, it is the most effective tool of the three. At 3.5" long, it is compact enough for precise, controlled work while the flat profile distributes pressure evenly across a narrow surface rather than concentrating it at a single point. The result is a tool that excels at working along the length of tendons, between ribs, along the edges of the scapula, down the shin bones, and through the dense connective tissue of the forearms and calves where a flat board is too broad and a pointed rod is too concentrated.

The flat rod is also exceptionally well suited to acupressure work at specific channel points — the flat face allows steady, sustained pressure to be applied comfortably to a single location without the fatigue that comes from holding a round-tipped rod in place. This makes it one of the most practical tools for self-treatment, particularly along the lower legs, feet, and forearms.

Made from natural horn, smooth and polished. Horn is a traditional Chinese medicine material valued for its cooling and blood-moving properties, firm enough to produce meaningful therapeutic stimulation without being harsh on surface tissue. The compact 3.5" length makes it easy to carry and unobtrusive to use in a self-care routine.

This is a particularly good choice for patients who are new to gua sha and want a single tool that bridges bodywork and acupressure, or for experienced practitioners looking for a precise secondary tool to complement a larger board.

Length: 3.5" Material: Natural horn, smooth polished finish Best for: Tendons, shin and tibial work, forearm and wrist channel treatment, acupressure point stimulation, intercostal and scapular border work, self-treatment

Apply oil to the skin before use for gua sha strokes. For acupressure application, use dry. Avoid sustained pressure on bony prominences or areas of acute inflammation. Consult your practitioner before beginning home treatment.
