What to Expect During Your Visit

If you are coming to the clinic for the first time there are a few things to consider before arriving:

  • Have you filled out the paperwork online? Signing the legal forms and completing an initial intake online before arriving allows more time to be devoted to the actual treatment on your first visit and prevents a very lengthy intake process!

  • Wear loose fitting clothing if possible. Wearing pants which easily roll up above the knee and a shirt with loose sleeves minimizes the need to change clothes for your treatment. Some common acupuncture points are located just around the knees and elbows!

  • Most visits involve a short intake upfront followed by taking the pulse, looking at the tongue, and doing any further examination like abdominal palpation prior to acupuncture. Herbal medicine is an important part of the treatment for many people, so you may be asked to take a course of an herbal formula to accompany your acupuncture plan.

  • Always feel free to ask questions about your treatment or about the acupuncture process upon your arrival and while in the clinic!

Treatments methods include acupuncture, fire cupping, and herbal medicine. Depending on your particular needs your treatments may include some or all of these things. As each person will have their own individual presentation, each treatment plan will vary. \
